Manager - Steven Loubser
Steven Loubser

Steven grew up in Strand near Cape Town and matriculated in 2005 from Strand High School. After school, he obtained his B-Com degree from The University of Stellenbosch. During this time and after, he worked in the restaurant industry and travelled to London, Paris and Amsterdam. Steven joined Village & Life as Guest House Manager in 2011. He enjoys socializing with friends, reading, music and exercising at the gym.

The Charles Restaurant Manager - Stephen Sawyer     
Stephen

Steven grew up in York England and trained as a textiles conservationist at the beautiful Castle Howard, home of the most prestigious collection of period costume in the world. Stephen later enrolled to York College of Arts and Design as a Hair and Beauty therapist and emerged with distinctions in 2 years. After 5 years working in the hotel industry on board such prestigious vessels as the Royal Viking Sun and Crystal Harmony. Steven arrived in Cape Town in 1994 to visit friends and fell in love with the city.

The Charles Restaurant Chef - Gert Rudolph
Gert

Gert grew up on a farm in the eastern Transvaal and as the eldest brother of 5 was sent of to Agricultural College in preparation for taking over the family farm. Well that wasn't going to happen, Gert went to work on the Trans Karoo line as a trainee chef. Gert then went into the world of fashion as a producer of fine bridal wear and evening gowns. His career took a turn  in 1996 when he became a florist, turning the bridal business into a package of flowers dress and catering.

Reservations Consultant - Gillian Smith
Gillian

Gillian matriculated from Bergvliet High School. After graduating from the International Hotel School she moved to England for a year.  In 2009 she joined Village & Life as a Reservations Consultant and early in 2010 Gillian decided to spread her wings again and traveled abroad for a couple of months. She enjoys socializing, extreme sports and adventures and lives in Kirstenhof.

Executive Housekeeper - Patricia Voegt

Patricia Voegt was born in Bonteheuwel in Cape Town and spent her childhood there, matriculating from Garlandale High School.  Patricia is married and has two daughters, aged 13 and 2 years old.  Patricia enjoys reading and dancing and has been with Village & Life for two years.
